Members of the Hawkins Lang + Price team had the opportunity to attend the Workplace Investigations in Canada Conference (WICC 2026) in Montréal, joining professionals from across Canada to deepen their knowledge and share best practices in workplace investigations.

The conference offered a range of insightful sessions focused on emerging trends, legal developments, and practical approaches to conducting fair, thorough, and trauma‑informed investigations. Attending allowed our team to engage directly with other industry experts, learn from real‑world case studies, exchange perspectives with our peers, and spend some quality time team together.

Marion Galinski has joined the Hawkins Lang + Price team!

Many of our clients know Marion from her years conducting workplace investigations across a range of sectors. She has focused her expertise on complex and sensitive investigations, including sexual harassment and assault, and other serious misconduct. Marion is known to be meticulous and professional, while always maintaining an empathetic approach to her work.

The 2026 theme for Black History Month in Canada is “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations—From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries,” highlighting the enduring contributions of Black Canadians across time. Violet King, who became the first Black woman lawyer in Canada, and her family lived in the Hillhurst Sunnyside community of Calgary from 1919-1975.
