Sylvie was called to the Quebec Bar in 2009 and the Alberta Bar in 2010 after receiving her law degrees (common and civil) from McGill University.
Areas of Practice
Sylvie is a lawyer and investigator, with 15 years’ experience in labour and employment law. She has experience conducting investigations and assessments in public and private sectors, for both federally and provincially regulated employers across various sectors. She is regularly involved in complex investigations involving discrimination, sexual harassment, bullying and harassment and other forms of misconduct.
Sylvie worked as in-house counsel in healthcare and transportation sectors, where she appeared regularly in arbitration, mediation and Labour Relations Board proceedings, provided advice and assisted in developing policy. Throughout her career Sylvie has led education and training sessions for employers, employees, and union representatives on various issues including human rights and conducting investigations.
Sylvie is an effective problem solver who has always looked for opportunities for early resolution of disputes, including mediation.
