Arvin Asadi

Arvin Asadi is a lawyer and investigator who provides neutral services in employment, labour, and human rights law. He has conducted workplace investigations and assessments for employers of all sizes across a wide variety of industries throughout Western Canada. Arvin brings an objective, practical, and compassionate approach to his work. He emphasizes awareness and sensitivity to each unique workplace environment and the relationships within it, helping clients navigate complex issues and foster respectful, effective workplaces.
Before joining Hawkins Lang & Price, he worked at a workplace investigation firm for several years.

As a lawyer, Arvin has broad experience across all areas of labour and employment law, including human rights, workplace misconduct, performance management, and respectful workplace issues.
Throughout his career, Arvin has worked with employers, unions, and employees in navigating complex labour and employment matters, including in mediation, arbitration, and collective bargaining.
Investigator
Arvin’s practice focuses on conducting fair, practical, and impartial workplace investigations. He has led investigations into a wide range of matters, including bullying and harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, financial misconduct, and other misconduct and breaches of workplace policies and law.
Arvin has extensive experience conducting investigations across diverse industries and organizational settings in both the public and private sectors, including unionized and non-unionized workplaces, working with both youth and adults. His approach is practical, trauma-informed, and sensitive to the unique culture, dynamics, and operational realities of each workplace. He prioritizes clear communication and procedural fairness, and produces findings that are accessible, defensible, and useful to decision makers.
Federally Regulated Employers Investigator (National Registry)
Arvin is a designated investigator on the Government of Canada’s Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations Registry of Investigators, enabling him to deliver impartial, compliant investigations into harassment and violence for federally regulated employers.
Workplace Assessor & Advisor
In addition to investigations, Arvin conducts workplace assessments and organizational scans to help employers identify emerging risks, address systemic concerns, and strengthen workplace culture before issues escalate. He also provides governance and organizational support, advising on the development, implementation, and application of workplace policies and best practices.
Trainer & Facilitator
Arvin delivers practical workplace training and education on a wide range of topics, including conducting investigations and maintaining respectful workplaces.

Arvin received his law degree from the University of Alberta in 2012 with a Dean’s List designation and clerked for the Honourable Mr. Justice J. Watson at the Alberta Court of Appeal. After articling and practicing criminal law at a boutique Vancouver law firm, he transitioned in 2015 to an in-house role in the health sector. There, he practiced labour and employment law while managing six major collective agreements across the province covering over 138,000 employees.
